This is a draw for you and a crafty kid or anyone who has lots of homemade gifts on the list for the holiday season. They demonstrate melting, molding, dipping and barks. They provide samples at the end and a discount for supplies so you and the fam can start candying at home.

You and a mature teen can take a fall's worth of food preservation classes and make a full pantry a new family tradition. Taught by the University of Georgia Extension in Forsyth County, topics include boiling water canning, making jam, freezing, drying, pickling and pressure canning.
