The Hawkeyes will have a familiar face on hand for their homecoming game.

Former Iowa defensive end Adrian Clayborn, now with the Atlanta Falcons, tweeted Wednesday that Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz had asked him to serve as honorary captain for the matchup against Illinois on Oct. 7.

Clayborn played at Iowa from 2007-10, racking up 192 tackles and 19 sacks, earning MVP honors at the 2010 Orange Bowl and consensus All-American recognition as a senior. He was selected No. 20 overall in the 2011 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He lasted four years in Tampa, then signed with the Falcons in 2015. He has 108 tackles and 20.5 sacks over the course of his NFL career.
