Starting at 10 a.m. at the Spelman College Museum of Fine Art. Visit the Spelman College Museum of Fine Art this season to witness the avant-garde pieces by artist and writer Howardena Pindell. Between Bloodlines and Floodlines | Friday, October 2

8:30 a.m. at the SCAD Gallery 1600. Pulling from her heritage in the Deep South, artist Tameka Norris addresses the poignant issues involving poverty, social injustice and race following Hurricane Katrina. Norris' moving exhibition, "Between Bloodlines and Floodlines," touches on personal experiences she felt when her grandmother's home was destroyed by the hurricane, and the aftermath it left behind.
