If you're not in the mood for Thanksgiving or Black Friday shopping, you have another chance to get in on the retail action on Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday is Small Business Saturday , the day created in 2010 by American Express to draw attention to small businesses. In past years, if you used an American Express card for your purchases you could get up to $30 in statement credits for all enrolled cards (enrollment was limited.) This year, Amex is doing away with the credit. Here's why:

"This year we are not offering a statement credit offer for Card Members on Small Business Saturday. In past years, the consumer offer was one of the ways to encourage our customers to make a habit of shopping at small businesses as they begin the holiday season. Six years later, we're pleased to say they have – last year, thousands of communities and 88 million consumers shopped small on Small Business Saturday."

The company says they are offering retailers more support and resources to promote Small Business Saturday in their communities.

Sunday was previously a day of shopping rest, but this year Wal-Mart is offering 2,000 Cyber Monday deals at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday, Nov. 29 effectively creating Cyber Sunday.

In addition, GoodShop Sunday returns this year. Shop online at from a range of retailers and GoodShop will give a donation to your favorite cause. Sign up and shop at Goodsearch.com .
