Number of working days left until the end of the 2015 session: 12

Lawmakers (and reporters) will have had a few days to recover from Thursday's drama at the Gold Dome. But that doesn't mean there won't be more fireworks and pain in the House.

The House will take up HB 110, which legalizes the sale of more explosive fireworks in Georgia, beyond the current sparkler class; and HB 212, which would allow pain management clinics to provide medical treatment if a certified registered nurse anesthetist is on-site.

The Senate will take up a slew of bills, including SB 132, which would allow high school students to attend post-secondary institutions and SR 296, which would dedicate the Senator Lawrence (Bud) Stumbaugh Bridge in DeKalb County and honor the late "Captain Herb" Emory of WSB Radio.

Committees will be working to pass bills in time to get a floor vote before Friday's Crossover Day deadline. Among the bills that will be considered Monday will be HB 244, which extends the statute of limitations for child sex abuse. It will come up in a morning meeting of a subcommittee of the House Judiciary Non-Civil Committee.
