Kasim Reed becomes the last-minute villain in LaVista Hills fight

We’ll know this evening whether

DeKalb County has two new cities.

A city of Tucker seems the surest bet. The tough language in these pro-LaVista Hills flyers leads us to believe that race may be tighter.

The mailer above clearly has racial overtones, coupled with a financial message aimed at older voters: “Creating LaVista Hills would permanently block Atlanta from annexing us and lock in the senior property tax exemption….”

The one below drills down on the DeKalb County corruption issues laid down by former attorney general Michael Bowers -- despite some pretty egregious spell-check fails:
