Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina has a range of new Georgia supporters backing her campaign on the eve of her visit to Atlanta.

The former Hewlett-Packard chief executive, who has a 3:30 p.m. town hall meeting at Georgia Tech's Student Success Center auditorium on Tuesday, will be welcomed by 33 endorsements when she arrives.

The backers include Jill Jinks, the chief executive of Insurance House; Sandy Jones, president of Mahalo Marketing; state Rep. Valarie Clark, R-Lawrenceville; Solicitor General of Cobb State Court Barry Morgan and Peach County GOP chair Tom Morrill.

Loretta Lepore, Fiorina's Georgia co-chair, said the support was a sign that "Carly's message is clearly resonating with Georgia voters." Jones said in a statement he endorsed Fiorina partly because of a friendship that's grown since they both worked at AT&T together in the early 1980s.

"From that experience and my own personal observations I sincerely believe that Carly Fiorina has the intelligence, leadership skills, vision and character to be president," he said.
