[Update March 19: Looks as if #SatisfactionThursday will happen another time. Though an announcement of the band's summer U.S. tour dates was widely expected today thanks to marketing and the hype the Rolling Stones created this past week, alas, no news has been confirmed. A spokesperson for the band told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that, "There is no announcement scheduled at this time. When we have information we will of course let you know." Of course, that information could come later today or... in a couple of weeks.]

Will Atlanta be part of the Rolling Stones’ next round of U.S. dates?

Signs, literally, point to yes.

Some avid fans of the band have noticed this billboard above a TitleMax in Kennesaw. Similar signs bearing the Stones’ logo and a cryptic message about Thursday have popped up around the country, including in Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Dallas, Milwaukee and San Diego, where the tour is rumored to kick off at Petco Field May 24.

The band has also nudged social media with the hashtag #SatisfactionThursday – which we can deduce means an announcement will be made March 19. Fans can register for alerts on the site www.justakissaway.rocks.

According to the rumor mill, tickets for the tour will go on sale through an American Express pre-sale on March 26, with a general on-sale set for March 30.

While it seems obvious that Atlanta is part of the band’s itinerary, where they will play here is still under wraps.

Sources say it won’t be the Georgia Dome, and, considering that the Stones played Turner Field in 2002 and Philips Arena in 2005 and 2006, either venue is in the mix, depending upon whether this is a full-blown stadium tour or one adjustable for arenas.
