I hadn't heard this song in ages, and until running across it recently, I hadn't realized how much I had missed it. It comes from Jeff Beck's 1975 classic album "Blow by Blow," which I played endlessly back in the day. More than 40 years later, it has held up beautifully. The song, "'Cause We've Ended as Lovers," was written by Stevie Wonder in tribute to his ex-wife Syreeta, whom I also used to play a lot.
Also note the bass solo by Australian guitarist Tal Wilkenfeld, who was 20 or 21 when this was shot. She's not intimidated in the least. (And yes, that is indeed Bill Murray doing the introductions.)
