'Didn't it rain, sister!' Yes, it sure as heck did

I don't know how the weather has been where you are, but here in BookmanVille we've been inundated with rain recently, and in fact for most of the summer, it seems. Yesterday afternoon and evening, it came down by the proverbial bucketful, and I just sat out on the front porch and watched it come, lightning and all. There's something soothing and reassuring about a good hard rain.
