Roger Gentry, who led Sonoraville of Calhoun to its first state-playoff berth in 2013, has resigned to become offensive coordinator at Stephens County under new coach Frank Barden, the Times Free Press of Chattanooga reports.

Gentry was 9-22 in three seasons, including 4-7 in 2013. Gentry had been offensive coordinator at Sonoraville before replacing his brother-in-law, Chuck King, as the head coach in 2011.

Barden became Stephens County's head coach this off-season after 210 seasons as the head man at Cartersville.
