GHSF Daily asked Georgia head coaches to answer these four questions. We'll report from a different head coach each day.

David Bruce, Veterans

*1. What is the most memorable game you've been a part of as a player or coach?"My most memorable game is actually two games. The first is the 2004 AAAA championship as defensive coordinator at Warner Robins High. Winning the championship was everything I had hoped it would be and was such a special feeling. The second game was Veterans' 10-0 victory at Mary Persons, which gave us the 2013 2-AAAA region championship in only our fourth year. That was a great feeling of seeing hard work pay off for our kids."

*2. Which high school coach would you want your son to play for, and why?"That is a tough one. I was fortunate enough to be able to coach both of my sons, and it was a special time for me. If I had to choose one coach, it would be coach Robert Davis. Coach Davis could get the best from every kid, and he was such a great motivator."

*3. What is your pet peeve as a coach or favorite saying/motto?"My pet peeve is not hustling. You don't have to be a great athlete to give great effort. My favorite saying is 'Attitude is everything.'"

*4. Which GHSA policy or high school football rule would you most like to see changed?"I don't like the new contact rules. I think it takes away from the younger players. They don't get enough of the fundamental work needed to create a solid foundation. You spend all the contact time getting the kids that are playing on Friday night ready, and the young kids fall through the cracks. I think it will diminish the skill level of high school football. It doesn't affect college or pro teams like it does high school teams. Their athletes are already skilled players and have a solid fundamental foundation. Coaches look after their kids, and I think we should be allowed to decide how much contact work is best for ourselves."
