GHSF Daily asked Georgia head coaches to answer these four questions. We'll report from a different head coach each day.
Matt Burleson, Telfair County
1. What is the most memorable game you've been a part of as a player or coach? "My high school senior season we defeated our rival for the first time in 12 years 60-58 in four overtimes after being down three touchdowns at the start of the fourthquarter." [Burleson played for Dunnellon, whose arch-rival was Williston. According to the Ocala Star-Banner, Williston entered ranked No. 10 in Florida's Class 3A, and Burleson passed for 259 yards.]
2. Which high school coach would you want your son to play for, and why? "There are many out there that are such great coaches and even better men, I would hate to leave one out."
3. What is your pet peeve as a coach or favorite saying/motto? "BEEP - Best Effort Every Play."
4. Which GHSA policy or high school football rule would you most like to see changed? "We will do our best to make it work with whatever rule is rolled out."
