For the Clemson game Saturday, Georgia Tech is selling tickets in the upper north end zone for $50 until 11:59 p.m. Wednesday night. The promotion, a $25 discount off the $75 ticket, began late Tuesday night.
The promotion is an attempt to fill up Bobby Dodd Stadium for Tech’s first game between ranked opponents since 2011. Sales have been slow for the game, at least partly due to the pricing. Tickets range from $75 to $95 on the lower sidelines.
Making 50,000 may be a challenge. Clemson, one of Tech’s oldest rivals, has consistently drawn well. Since the stadium capacity was expanded to 55,000 prior to the 2003 season, the five Tech-Clemson games at Bobby Dodd have included two sellouts. The other three games drew in excess of 52,000.
Tickets are available at the Tech athletics website .
