Georgia Tech players visited the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Hollywood, Fla., Saturday morning as part of their Orange Bowl visit, wearing jerseys and sweats.

Not sure how to phrase this, but I imagine you’re mostly interested in players’ choice of attire. For the record, they’re blue jerseys with gold numerals, with a big Orange Bowl patch on the right chest.

It’ll be the first time Tech has worn non-white jerseys since the 2012 Sun Bowl, the 21-7 win over USC. As for the visit, players were there for about 30 minutes. It was redshirting freshmen and walk-ons not required to be in position meetings prior to the team’s Saturday afternoon practice at Nova Southeastern University.

Unfortunately, team members weren’t able to visit with many patients due to infection concerns, but greeted and took pictures with a few children.

“It’s definitely humbling seeing those kids,” kicker Andrew Chau said. “It puts things in perspective.”
