The graphic you won’t want to miss

Sometimes you have to read between the lines and other times the graphic just says it all. Auburn football tweeted an image of Auburn running back Kerryon Johnson on Tuesday that sums up the junior’s season.

Gus Malzahn gave an injury report on Johnson during his Tuesday afternoon press conference.

While it’s tough to say just how bad the injury is, teammates continue to voice confidence that Johnson will be ready to play.

"It was very hard for me to play through the shoulder injuries. It's just something that in the game of football, you have to use — running the ball, hitting," Tray Matthews said. "I talked to him the next day, and I mean, he'll be fine. Of course, it's real sore. But he'll be just fine. It's a mental thing. We're playing in the SEC championship. You have to suck that up."

The best in The Lone Star State

The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award is given annually to the top offensive player from the state of Texas.

For his performance in his first-ever Iron Bowl, quarterback Jarrett Stidham got the nod. The Stephenville, Texas, native completed 21-of-28 pass attempts (237 yards) and added touchdown through the air and on the ground.

Stidham proved to be the missing piece of the puzzle for Auburn after a 2016 season where quarterback play was the Tigers’ Achilles heel.

Basketball travels to Dayton

Auburn basketball (4-1) will take on the Dayton Flyers tonight in Dayton, OH (6:00 p.m. CT, CBSS).

The Tigers have played Dayton four times in program history and have yet to come up with a win.

During the 2016-17 season the Fylers compiled a 24-8 record and went on to lose in the first round of the NCAA Tournament to Wichita State.
