Temps to stay in the 70s this week

Clouds faded and temperatures warmed up in Atlanta, according to Channel 2 Action News.
Atlanta hit a high of 70 degrees at roughly 5 p.m. The average high is 71 for this time of year. It’s currently 62.
And more warmer temperatures could be here later this week. Highs are expected to hit 75 Thursday, 78 Friday and 80 Saturday.

“So we’re headed in the right direction,” Channel 2 meteorologist Brad Nitz said.
The pollen count also dropped from 722 particles per cubic meter of air Monday to 328 Tuesday, according to Atlanta Allergy and Asthma.

“The cool air and drizzle yesterday prevented the pollen from increasing,” Channel 2 meteorologist Karen Minton said. “It still is in the high range, but lower than the past few days.”
Pollen levels could rise again as temperatures increase.

But another cool-down will arrive early next week, Channel 2 reported.
“Another shot of chilly air to come ... just after the weekend,” Channel 2 meteorologist Brian Monahan said. “Might be our last shot at freezing temperatures over parts of North Georgia in the (mornings).”
