Yes, your Saturday morning will start off with some clouds and the possibility for spotty showers, metro Atlanta.

“But by Saturday afternoon,” Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Katie Walls said, “that will be far in the past. And by Sunday, [expect] plenty of sunshine.”

There will be so much sunshine, temperatures are expected to hit 80 degrees by Tuesday, according to Channel 2.

In the meantime, the best chance for scattered showers is for areas that have already seen rain — along I-20 and south of the interstate. Some parts of the metro area will escape the wet weather.

There are “very hit or miss rain chances [Friday] afternoon at just 30 percent,” Walls said.

Showers should return about 5 p.m. However, they won’t amount to more than one-half inch, according to Channel 2.

Temps were 63 degrees in Atlanta, 62 degrees in Blairsville and 62 degrees in Griffin just before 2 p.m.

Clouds will clear Saturday, when temperatures will start in the upper 40s, then increase to the mid- to upper 60s.

Temps will creep into the lower 70s Sunday and bring on the sunshine.
