It’s sunny, warm and dry, with only a with few clouds overhead in metro Atlanta.

And though the warmth will linger, with highs expected to reach the 80s each day through Friday, dry and sunny conditions will soon fade, according to Channel 2 Action News.

“Now overnight and into early on [Tuesday], we’re going to see more cloud cover, ” Channel 2 meteorologist Brad Nitz said.

Tuesday is expected to start dry. Metro Atlanta may pick up a few isolated showers or storms.

“But the rain chance is pretty slim as we head through your Tuesday afternoon,” Nitz said.

There is a 30 percent chance of rain Tuesday and Wednesday. That will increase to 40 percent Thursday, which is expected to be the warmest day this week with a high of 86 degrees.

Temperatures were 72 degrees in Atlanta, Blairsville and Griffin just before 7:30 p.m. Monday.

Atlanta’s high was 82 degrees.

The pollen count was 106 particles of pollen per cubic meter of air Monday. That's well below the current season high of 4,107 and last year's season high of 6,152.
