Each week we comb through the various tech meetups, hackathons, demos, open houses and other events happening in Austin's socially-inclined tech scene and share which ones are Google calendar-worthy.

Where: Terrazas Branch Library

What: During this joint meetup hosted by Open Austin and MaptimeATX, speaker Ann Armstrong will discuss her work collecting hand-drawn maps from Austinites and building a collaborative atlas of Austin.

Hugh Forrest Talks SXSW Interactive 2016

When: Tuesday, April 19 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Where: WeWork Austin - 600 South Congress Avenue

What: Interactive Festival Director Hugh Forrest talks about the stand-out moments, industry changing launches, and significant takeaways of the 2016 festival. Forrest will be talking SXSW with Austin-based tech entrepreneur William "whurley" Hurley of Honest Dollar.

Cost: Free

When: Tuesday, April 19 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Where: Capital Factory

What: Talk music startups and connect with fellow Austin tech junkies at this monthly meetup.
