-- At Philadelphia on Friday night, Hawks coach Larry Drew used a starting lineup that featured Jason Collins at center. Last season Collins started as part of a specialized lineup, but Drew said it could be the standard alignment now. “That’s the regular lineup,” Drew said. “For right now that will be pretty much how we go.”
-- After not playing Wednesday against Portland, Hawks reserve forward Vladimir Radmanovic was back in his normal substitution pattern. Radmanovic’s shooting has been erratic, but Drew said Radmanovic didn’t play against the Trail Blazers because of matchups.
-- Radmanovic is one of a few Hawks bench players whose minutes have fluctuated, along with Zaza Pachulia, Tracy McGrady and Jannero Pargo. Drew said the approach can be beneficial because of the truncated schedule caused by the lockout. “It all depends on how you look at it,” Radmanovic said. “Knowing that we have such a compressed schedule, it can be a positive thing if you look at it that way. But we are all competitors here. We like to be on the court and contribute, but obviously not everybody can play. It is up to the coaches to make decisions. We have to fit in that system.”
