The 1995 season was magical for Greg Maddux and the Atlanta Braves -- Maddux won his fourth straight NL Cy Young award, finished third in MVP voting and the Braves won the World Series.
On May 23, 1995, Maddux picked up the third of his 19 victories that season in a Maddux-type domination of the Cardinals. Maddux pitched a complete game, allowing only one run on five hits with eight strikeouts and no walks. Maddux would finish the season at 19-2 with a 1.63 ERA and 181 strikeouts.
