Closer Craig Kimbrel is the Braves nominee for the Roberto Clemente Award, presented annually to the player “who be represents the game of baseball through positive contributions on and off the field, including sportsmanship and community involvement.”

All 30 major league teams nominate one player for the award. The last Braves nominee to win the award was John Smoltz in 2005.
