Retired Braves star Chipper Jones was among a group of current and former ball players who shave their heads to help raise funds to help cancer-stricken children.
"I'm a little scared to see how much my hair line has receded," Jones said before the shave-down Wednesday in Tampa. "But it's well worth it, because this is a great cause. We're going to raise at least $50,000 by the end of the week."
The even was put together by Chipper's agent BB Abbott, who is a board member of the Pediatric Cancer Foundation. PCF, founded in 1970, raises funds for research and medical supplies to treat cancer-stricken children at a number of U.S. hospitals.
Now Chipper didn't exactly sheer all his hair down, keeping a low crop. He posted the evidence on his Twitter.
