A fugitive from Missouri is in the Tulsa County Jail tonight after Tulsa police say found him hiding from them inside a clothes dryer.
Officers arrested Corey Woody at a home in a Tulsa neighborhood.
Police said they knew he was inside a duplex, and they believed he was crawling back and forth in the shared attic space to avoid them.
When they brought in the police dog, however, they found something very different.
Police say the dog tracked Woody in a laundry room dryer full of clothes.
The 5’5”, 130-pound man was able to hide in the dryer until the dog found him and bit him.
Officers said Woody was wanted on a Tulsa theft charge and four probation violations in Missouri, where he has been convicted of burglary several times.
Neighbors said Woody had been living in the area for four to five months.
