A crash on the Downtown Connector temporarily blocked all lanes and created massive backups during the height of Monday morning’s commute — the first day many across metro Atlanta returned to work and school after the long holiday break.
All lanes reopened just before 8:30 a.m., but the Downtown Connector remained a mess north of 14th Street, according to WSB’s Mark McKay.
At one point, Mark Arum in the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center reported trips of more than one hour from Highway 166 to 17th Street.
