Q: What was resolution on high-dollar Buckhead condo towers’ unpaid water bill?
—Bradford Smith, Atlanta
A: Atlanta's Department of Watershed Management has repaired the meter at the Phoenix on Peachtree and has plans to schedule a meeting with the building's homeowners association regarding the results.
The city is considering billing the building for the unpaid amount, Watershed Management spokeswoman Lillian Govus told Q&A on the News in an email this week.
“So now we’re getting official reads on their consumption,” she wrote. “With two full cycles, our team can look at the consumption vs. what they were billed and have a better grasp on the difference.”
Channel 2 Action News reported in July that the building, which opened in 2001, had been improperly billed for water and sewage since that time.
The building owes “approximately $1 million without penalties and interest,” a condo owner said in accompanying article.
Govus wouldn’t confirm the amount, but told Channel 2 Action News in July: “It’s a significant amount of money.”

—Beverly Spangler, Marietta
A: Dupree's on-air reports have been limited because his voice "is still not ready for the radio," he told Q&A on the News in an email.
Dupree wrote that he’s healthy, but he continues to have problems with his voice.
