Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic School (IHM) has received a $6,000 grant from the Catholic Foundation of North Georgia to fund classroom technology. The grant has enabled the DeKalb County school to expand its existing portable iPad cart from 15 iPads to 30. This is enough for every student in a classroom to work on his/her own iPad. All iPads were loaded with 12 assorted apps. In addition, teachers who used iPad 1s were upgraded to iPad 2s, giving them the capability to connect to the multi-media projectors in the classroom. IHM is a Catholic school that serves 500 students in kindergarten through eighth grade.
