As if Ryan Seacrest’s star wasn’t sizzling enough, the media mogul and beloved television personality just got a little bit hotter.

The metro Atlanta native was named co-host of “Live” alongside longtime host Kelly Ripa earlier this summer, and Thursday, Kelly Ripa announced he will return to “American Idol” on its reboot that will air in 2018.

According to Rodney Ho, AJC's Radio/TV columnist, Seacrest on "Live" said he never thought the show was in bad enough shape to go away at all.

“The show is going, we thought well and then all of a sudden we broke up,” Seacrest said, regarding Fox ending the show in 2016. “I thought it would be great to get back together at some point.”

Seacrest, 42, has made a name for himself as host of “American Idol” and his popular radio show on Air with Ryan Seacrest. The new television gig will move his radio show to the East Coast where “Live” is taped.
