It may appear that Cobb County Superintendent Michael Hinojosa is in the eye of a storm with the school board revolt against the Common Core State Standards. But Dr. Hinojosa tells me that these are just windy days compared to the gales he's faced in other jobs. A Georgia Tech professor discusses the movement in other states — not yet here in Georgia — to allow students to opt out of animal dissections in biology class.
