A formal naval officer and teacher started an ambitious walk from Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, Fla., to Yankee Stadium in the Bronx Monday.
Richard J. Albero is trying to raise $25,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project to honor a nephew, Gary Albero, who was killed in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
Alberto hopes to average 20 miles a day and complete the trip in about three months. He's updating supporters on his website and on a Twitter page.
