Kenyada Waters of Anchorage, Alaska, recently posted a series of photos to her Facebook page showing a man holding a sign that read, "Laid off 2 long. Anything helps."
She got out of her car and offered the man a job doing "labor work" for her business. The man, named Richard, explained that he had been laid off from his job months ago and was on the verge of being evicted from his apartment.
"He's just a good guy having a hard time and had exhausted all of his resources," Waters wrote on Facebook. "He said that people would drive past him and yell out get a job you stupid lazy bum not knowing he has submitted over 20 applications and have not heard anything back!"

Richard explained that he can’t afford his cellphone bill, so there was no way for businesses to get in contact with him about jobs he applied for.
Waters offered to pay his cellphone bill for two months. Richard cried with gratitude.
Since then, he's been on interviews and has joined Waters at her church. Waters even set up a GoFundMe page for Richard, hoping to raise enough money to save him from eviction. So far they have raised nearly $2,000.
