Three arrested in stabbing death of a moose

Police were called when three men were seen “walking around harassing a moose” at a park Tuesday.

It turned out to be much worse.

Witnesses saw "these males striking the moose, jumping on the moose and possibly striking or stabbing the moose," Sgt. Jennifer Haywood said to KTUU.

The yearling moose already was dead by the time police got to the blood-spattered scene, according to officials.

Officers reported finding the men nearby a few minutes later.
