A Maryland convenience store was the victim of a smash and grab that went to extremes.
Police in Lanham said thieves drove a pickup into the store's window and took the shop's ATM, WRC reported.
The store’s window was smashed, a door was ripped from its hinges and cases were damaged in the crash just before 2 a.m. Wednesday.
Police are not sure how much money was still in the ATM, according to WRC. They believe two suspects were involved, WTTG reported.
No one was hurt in theft, WUSA reported.
This isn’t the first ATM theft of this nature in the area. Police said there have been several in the Washington, D.C. area in the past few months.
