Police arrested a Pittsburgh-area man after they discovered marijuana and mushroom plants in his apartment, but how they found them is the real story.
Troopers were called to David Wayne Kalb's complex Monday evening for a report of a disturbance, according to a press release.
They escorted the 41-year-old to his neighbor’s room to obtain an extra key. Moments later, police said Kalb asked troopers to help him locate another room key in his apartment.
Once inside the apartment, troopers said they found a small amount of marijuana, 70 mushroom plants and several Mason jars containing active ingredients used to manufacture psychedelic mushrooms.
Kalb faces several drug charges.
