The Sarasota Sheriff's Office is calling its Bomb Unit the "Bong Unit" after it found a suitcase packed with drug paraphernalia under a bridge Wednesday morning.
"A caller reported seeing a man in his 20s place a small gray hard-sided case wrapped in black in the cement gully under a bridge," a Facebook post read, "After taking an x-ray of the case, deputies determined it contained drug paraphernalia."
The incident shut down several roads while the Hazardous Devices Unit was called in to inspect the scene.
Pictures show the small suitcase with foam cut-outs to fit the bong, featuring a green and blue psychedelic design.
The Sheriff’s Office managed to have some fun with the situation, even encouraging the owner to reach out and claim his missing goods.
