A Palm Beach, Fla., police officer has created a free app to help parents discipline their children if they do something wrong, or reward them for good behavior.

Mick Keehan created the app, called “Fake Police Call,” is available to Apple and Android users. Through the app, Sergeant Friendly calls the parent’s phone to speak with the child above the misbehavior. The app contains 14 “bad” and 14 “good” scenarios to choose from depending on the child’s behavior. The parent can enter specific information about the child and then Sergeant Friendly will call the phone with a pre-recorded message.

If the child behaves after receiving the call, the parent can have a follow-up call praising the child.

“The first time I tried the app with my children, ages 3 and 5, they corrected their behavior immediately,” Keehan wrote in a news release.
