Members of Joycelyn Savage’s family made another plea Monday to see their daughter, whom they say is being manipulated by R. Kelly.

On Wednesday, Savage, 23, called her family after its press conference earlier that day in which family members appealed for her to get in touch. The call lasted less than three minutes and took place at the office of the Savage family's lawyer, Gerald Griggs.

After the call, Griggs said R. Kelly’s representatives promised an in-person meeting with Joycelyn, but so far, no communication has been attempted. Griggs said he does not have direct contact information for Kelly’s team.

"We have not heard anything from R. Kelly's camp since last week," Griggs said Monday morning in another press conference held in Atlanta. "Since Wednesday, day after day has passed, yet no one has called to set up a meeting. This further underscores the deception and continued false public narrative being placed out there by Mr. Robert Kelly. If nothing nefarious is happening, it's very easy to pick up the phone."

Joycelyn Savage told her family during the brief phone call that she is "OK" and "very happy" with Kelly, a point she reiterated during an interview with Gayle King that aired on Thursday. She also accused her family of trying to manipulate Kelly for money.

Savage's mother, Jonjelyn Savage, refuted that claim again Monday. She is convinced that last week's phone call was scripted and supervised by Kelly's camp.

“All the lies and manipulation you’ve heard about your family – those are all lies,” Jonjelyn Savage said. “Mr. Kelly has kept you from contacting us so he can further make you believe those lies.”

Savage said her hope is to have an in-person meeting with her daughter without Kelly present.

Griggs added that any meeting could be held at his office with a third party present and recorded if requested by Kelly’s camp.

Kelly has been charged with 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse, claims he denied during a heated interview with King last week.
