A Washington couple, Brendan Cleary and his bride Devin Cleary, eloped in June at the top of Mount Pilchuck -- enveloped in clouds and awash in sunlight.
"The clouds dissipated right after the ceremony, which made it absolutely magical," photographer Trisha Radford wrote, sharing pictures with members of the Washington Hikers & Climbers group.
Before a wedding in Devin's Kansas hometown, the couple decided to "elope up in the mountains that they love exploring together," Radford wrote on her blog.
The couple's dog, named Chloe, curled up on the bride’s dress during the vows.
Chloe, an Australian shepherd, loves hiking and frequently hikes along with them.
Brendan and Devin met through a mutual friend; he was living in Snohomish, she in Texas.
"It was cloudy when we arrived," Brendan said of the ceremony atop Mount Pilchuck. "Right after we said our vows, the clouds opened up and it was beautiful until the end."
He shared special thanks with Trisha Radford, the photographer, Brad Green and Brian Harmon, who filmed the ceremony; and Neil Kelly, the pastor who hiked along to the top -- to marry them.
Read this shared excerpt from Devin's beautiful vows:
From the moment I met you, you made me believe that anything was possible, like meeting a stranger from halfway across the world for the first time -- and falling in love. Falling in love with you was the most clear, meant to be thing I have ever felt. I have never learned so much with one person in my entire life until I met you.
And from Brendan's:
I promise I will always look to you to be my standard of beauty, never letting anything else come close to the beauty that you hold. I promise to always be by your side, through every storm and every calm. And most of all, I promise to always love you with all of my heart.
