Winfred Harris to mark CAU's Founders Week

Clark Atlanta University will celebrate Founders Week with an address by long-time school official Winfred Harris, the school’s Howard Hughes Professor of Biological Sciences.

Harris, who graduated from Clark College in 1955 and Atlanta University in 1957, will speak Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Vivian Henderson Center’s Leonidas Epps Gymnasium, located at the corner of Vine Street and Atlanta Student Movement Boulevard.

On the faculty since 1957, when Atlanta University and Clark College consolidated Harris has was appointed vice president for administration and later served as provost from 1997-2003.
