Volunteers are needed to help plant native species in Mason Mill Park in central DeKalb County.

The event on Saturday is part of an ongoing project with the Atlanta Botanical Gardens along the park’s boardwalk.

The event begins at 10 a.m. and runs until noon at the boardwalk along the South Peachtree Creek trail, accessible from the park entry at Willivee Drive and Scott Circle.
