Five years after opening its doors, the University of North Georgia Cumming campus has reached a milestone: more than 1,000 undergraduates are enrolled there. And campus officials said total enrollment, including grad students, has topped 1,100.
Cumming campus executive director Jason Pruitt pegs the increase to the school’s offering a broader range of courses in english, math, history, psychology and political science. The campus also has a dual-enrollment program allowing high school juniors and seniors to take college courses.
The Cumming campus, one of five in the in the UNG system, debuted in 2012 with 200 people enrolled.
