In 2010, the University of Georgia was ranked the top party school in the country. But since then, it has been all downhill.
The Princeton Review released its latest list of the Top 20 Party schools, and the Bulldog Nation is ranked 11th. That’s down from second in 2011 and fifth last year.
The top-ranked party school in the country is the University of Iowa, followed by the University of California, Santa Barbara, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
“Schools on the ‘Party Schools’ list are those at which surveyed students’ answers indicated a combination of low personal daily study hours (outside of class), high usages of alcohol and drugs on campus, and high popularity on campus of frats/sororities,” according to the Princeton Review’s website.
While no other Georgia school made the party list, two schools did make the Top 20 Sober schools.
Wesleyan College is ranked seventh and Agnes Scott College is 15th.
And for the 16th year in a row, Brigham Young University tops the list of sober schools.
“Schools on the ‘Stone-Cold Sober Schools’ list are those at which surveyed students’ answers indicated a combination of high personal daily study hours (outside of class), low usages of alcohol and drugs on campus, and low popularity on campus of frats/sororities,” the review said.
The rankings are based on surveys given to 126,000 students at the schools listed in “The Best 378 Colleges” book, which was released Monday.
