Drivers in Johns Creek should expect delays near one intersection for the next several weeks.

The city announced that crews will begin working on re-configuring the intersection where Grove Point Road and Medlock Bridge Road meet on Aug. 14.

Workers will be reconstructing the median to add an additional exit lane on Grove Point to Medlock Bridge.

Work is expected to be completed sometime in September, the city says. Crews will work on the intersection from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will close the exit lane on Grove Point to conduct the work. A spokesperson for Johns Creek said no closures are planned for Medlock Bridge Road.

Residents in the Medlock Bridge subdivision are advised to use the Wilson Road or Medlock Bridge Parkway exits to avoid the Grove Point construction.
