Town hall meetings are planned during late February and early March in Cobb County to hear from the public on a variety of issues.
- State Rep. Teri Anulewicz, D-Smyrna; State Sen. Jen Jordan, D-District 6; Cobb County Commissioners Lisa Cupid and Bob Ott and Smyrna Mayor Pro Tem Derek Norton will hold a town hall 6:30-8:30 p.m. Feb. 26 at the Smyrna Community Center, 200 Village Green Circle SE, Smyrna. They will discuss proposed transit legislation (HB 930 and SB 386), including maps of the proposed Atlanta Transit Link Authority (The ATL) and the South Cobb transit service area. Anulewicz said, "In terms of impact to Cobb County, this might just be the most important issue we address during this year's Legislative Session."
- District Two residents are invited to a town hall 7-8:30 p.m. March 5 hosted by Commissioner Bob Ott at Sewell Mill Library and Cultural Center, 2051 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta. Come early to tour the new library and cultural center.
- District Four residents are invited to a town hall 7 p.m. March 8 hosted by Commissioner Lisa Cupid at Milford Baptist Church, 1030 Milford Church Road SW, Marietta.
