Fayette County is accepting applications to fill three seats on its five-member Zoning Board of Appeals.
The board hears and decides appeals to decisions by the zoning administrator where alleged errors in orders, requirements, decisions or determinations have been made. The group meets at 7 p.m. monthly, as needed, at the Administrative Complex at 140 Stonewall Ave. West in Fayetteville. Members, who must be Fayette County residents, are appointed to three-year terms and are paid $75 per meeting for a maximum of $150 per month. The open terms will expire Dec. 31, 2023. One member of the appeals board may also be a member of the planning commission, but no other members may hold another public office.
Details and applications are at www.fayettecountyga.gov; the deadline for applying is Dec. 13.
