Anne Stanley has worried about a tree near her house for nearly a year.
“A limb fell on my house last June 14. It fell very close to me when we had those terrible wind and rainstorms. We wanted to be proactive. We had a city arborist come and check four massive trees in the city right of way. The address is 12 East Drive, N.E.,” Stanley wrote.
She said a work order was generated nine months ago.
“We have been unable to get the tree removed. We have been very patient until now. We are very worried about this tree because it is massive. If it falls on our homes, honestly we would not survive. I have explained this to my family,” she said.
Stanley said the city showed up Mar. 26, but abruptly left.
“I am sorry to report this photo is what they left. I was able to ask one of the crew when I saw they were packing up. He said they ‘had an emergency.’ Why would the crew be pulled off in the middle of a job? I asked what the emergency was and he said a tree was down. This is an emergency. It would have taken one more cut to make this safe for us. Can someone please get them back to finish this job? ” she added.
We sent her issue to the city.
