Item: Peachtree City (Fayette)
Although Peachtree City is known for its more than 100 miles of multi-use paths and trails, there are plenty of roads that commuters in Fayette’s largest city use to shop and get to work. A reader pointed out a route that needs some help.
“I drive Peachtree Parkway numerous times a day and am tired of dodging holes and areas that are in desperate need of resurfacing. The stretch I’m most concerned about is near its intersection with Ga. Highway 54,” the reader wrote.
We sent the information to Peachtree City officials and will let you know when it’s fixed.

Occasionally, we have to go back and prod some government leaders about projects that are still outstanding on our list.
In July, we told you about Mark Anderson’s situation.
“I would like your help in getting a response to correct road conditions that caused me to crash on my bike and break two shoulder bones. I have notified the city of Atlanta and received no response,” he wrote.
Anderson said that on Euclid Avenue, there are significant bumps in the turn lane onto Austin Avenue.
“I was checking traffic behind me and hit the 3.5-inch bump and fell on my right shoulder. The fall occurred on July 6. Euclid Avenue is designated a bike route, but this is a hazard to all cyclists,” he added.
We sent a gentle reminder to the city and will keep you updated.
