A reader wants to know when a crosswalk will be repaired.

“I’m hopeful you can look into when the work/upgrade-repairs to the southwest corner at the intersection of Moreland and McLendon Avenues will be repaired, as this is a busy crosswalk used by many pedestrians in Little Five Points. This causes numerous safety issues for pedestrians. There is no safe path to reach that corner of the intersection, no matter which direction one tries to reach it,” the reader wrote.

The reader added the site has been under construction the past couple of weeks without any apparent progress.

We sent the information to the city and will keep you updated.

Update: Kennesaw (Cobb)

Last week, we told you about Lori O’Neal’s concern over a busy road near a major university.

“Two out of four lanes, one lane in each direction, of Frey Road in Kennesaw have been closed for months. The closed portions are located under the I-75 overpass that is near one of the entrances of Kennesaw State University. The closed parts cause severe backups at the times when students are arriving for or leaving classes.

O’ Neal said it looked like nothing was happening, but for the last few months, she can see that they are working on the bridge.

We heard back from Cobb County.

“I just heard from DOT. They anticipate Frey Road to be impacted for about six months while they complete the bridgework. The current lane closures will continue for another month or so, then they will shift traffic and adjust the lane closures to the other side while they complete the work,” said Cobb County’s Director of Communications Ross Cavitt.
