Update-Atlanta
A reader sent us a picture of the intersection of Morosgo Drive and Morosgo Way, looking westward toward Piedmont Road.
“The problem is that there is no stop sign on Morosgo Way, and there is only a ‘street’ marking, but no stop sign on Morosgo Drive westbound. There ‘is’ an actual stop sign on Morosgo Drive eastbound,” the reader wrote.
We got an update from the city.
“The city of Atlanta Department of Public Works is working with the local developer to create new pavement markers at the streets indicated in the reader inquiry, as well as installing ADA ramps in the correct locations. For service related issues, please encourage your readers to call the 311 customer service line,” said the city’s press information officer Christina Cruz Benton.

Update-Atlanta
Last week, we told you about Margaret Thompson’s problem with her street. Thompson has lived at 415 Euclid Terrace NE for 28 years.
“About two months ago, 424 Euclid Terrace had a water problem and the city came out and ‘fixed’ it. They left a 5-foot-by-6-foot hole in the street. It has never been repaired,” Thompson wrote.
She said a couple of weeks ago, another water issue was ‘fixed’ at 429 Euclid Terrace, and they left a hole in the street.
We soon learned about a speedy repair.
Thompson said she saw immediate action after she sent the column our way.
“I hope this is the end of this saga. I hope I don’t have to forward these emails to AJC.com next time to get a result. This has been a four-month long saga,” she added.

New item-Georgia 78
Ann Pass wants something done about Georgia 78 in DeKalb County.
“Traveling west on Highway 78 in the Stone Mountain area there is an exit to Hugh Howell west. At the intersection at the end of the exit there are two lanes traveling west. Hugh Howell has recently been repaved, but not completely re-striped. The right lane is a ‘right turn only’ lane and is marked with a sign, however the arrows painted in the lane are no longer there,” Pass said.
She said cars coming off the highway and wanting to continue west are winding up in the right lane.
“I anticipate a wreck there if something isn’t done with the striping, better signage or a police presence,” she added.
We sent the item to the Department of Transportation and will keep you updated.
